I think my mom would have asked for a pink coffin if they'd had one. Not for any cause-related anything, because she died way before there were ribbons for anything other than HIV/AIDS, and she didn't die of breast cancer, but because she liked pink and other such soft colors. She ended up with a tasteful brushed-steel-looking thing, though, if I recall correctly. The whole funeral is kind of a blur in my mind, except for the 'service', which I'm rolling my eyes even thinking about. But that's a story for another day.

I am in favor of a floating funeral pyre, myself.
