colorsilk can suck it

i bought two boxes of revlon's colorsilk hair dye over six months ago because it was a package deal; both boxes for $4. they had a lot of black, and i bought a set and remember thinking at the time, "maybe i should buy more, that's a good price..." however, the first time i used it the fumes almost killed me. which is why i waited so long to dye again. i conned myself into believing it couldn't have been that bad, but it is. colorsilk smells awful. it works okay (i mean, i use black, it's hard to mess that up), it's always cheap, but the smell. my god! it's way over the top; like burning plastic and heaps of flowers. it takes two days for the scent to stop causing headaches. everyone around you will look at you funny. being in public is hard. i feel it's best to use it at night, get drunk, then go to sleep. then try to stay drunk the next day, while washing it some more. i never use it the day before i have to go to work, and i never use it in the morning. and i promise myself to never use it again. cheap or not, black hair or no, i will gladly pay more for a hair dye whose scent does not make me want to die. natural instincts, anyone?
