Cast of Characters

D: is my husband! i met him at a grocery store and we had our first kiss in the kitchen. he's awesome.
Boychik: D's eldest child, and my stepson. boychik is a nice yiddish word, which is silly since i'm not jewish.
Girlchild: they don't really have a good word in yiddish for "sweet girl" so girlchild will have to do! she's the younger of my husband's children, and my super stepdaughter.
Tali: the kitten with the curly tail
Vince: aka Vicente, Vincent, Vincey-Princey, el otro gato negro, who has a straight tail and talks a lot.
